Finally, a new post! Something has been weird with my internet and I haven't been able to post pics, so this post is actually 2 weeks late. Rob's mother (Nainai) and sister (Gugu) came to visit from Taiwan and met Kaden for the first time. We had a very nice visit and Kaden loves his Nainai and Gugu! (Nainai and Gugu are not their names, but those are the Mandarin Chinese words for paternal grandma and paternal aunt). Gugu was very good at getting lots of great smiles out of Kaden :-) And of course we made a trip to New Jersey to visit Uncle Frank and into New York City.

At the Statue of Liberty...it was windy, so I was covering Kaden's head with the blanket.

Uncle Frank

He LOVED talking to his Auntie!

The whole gang at Outback Steakhouse...my first steak since having Kaden. It was so nice to eat meat that wasn't cooked to the point of being jerky again!

2 Months Old Already!

I can't belive it, but Kaden is already 2 months old! We celebrated the occasion by going to the doctor for his 2 month check up and 2 month shots. He is now 24 inches long and weighs 15.2 pounds- that's right, 15.2 pounds! He is in the 75th percentile for height and 97th percentile for weight. Taking his size and the amount of formula he is eating every day, the doctor recommended that we start incorporating cereal into his diet.

When we got home from the doctor, however, Kaden passed out and only woke up to eat until the next morning, when he woke up with a big poopy diaper and an even bigger grin on his face. I got a pic of him passed out, but I was not prepared with camera for grinning poopy Kaden in the morning!

The next day we tried out the cereal. He did really well, too! The first time we put it in his mouth he just looked at us like he was trying to figure out what we were doing to him. After that he seemed to like the cereal. The only thing that made him mad was when I kept taking that darn spoon out of his mouth before he was done eating. How rude of me to take it away when his belly wasn't full yet!

So the meal went like this: Mama put the spoon with food in Kaden's mouth. Kaden got all the food off the spoon. Mama takes the spoon out to get more food. Kaden gets mad because he is not done eating yet. Mama puts the refilled spoon back in Kaden's mouth. Kaden is immediately happy and eats more food. Repeat until all the cereal is gone.

We had a visit from Kaden's grandma and aunt from Taiwan these past couple of weeks, so I will have lots of pics from their visit to put up soon!

Time for a Chat

This is my first time posting a video, so it's a nice short one. I was having such a nice chat with Kaden this morning that I had to capture some of it on camera. He is still figuring out how to use his voice, but he's getting better and better at it.

I just love those cheeks!!
